Case Study: AI-generated collections for content-led user experiences

What?: To be the leading e-commerce site with truly personalized recommendations, we dreamed of a product that utilized AI to generate interest-based collections for content-led experiences. Customers would be fed recommended collections of items using the power of generative AI.

Why?: Wish is the online leader in discovery-based shopping experiences. To provide accurate recommendations in record time while keeping users engaged, we leveraged AI to generate content and item collections resulting in an overall growth in GMV by 34%.

My role: As the lead UX content designer, my mission was to create content that provided context for the micro collections, serving as the guideline for future AI-generated content. Additionally, I would begin engineering AI prompts and partner closely with data science and product to iterate on prompt performance.
